Rhino has signed a deal with Northumbria University to supply teamwear, training equipment and match balls for the season ahead.

The new partnership covers both men’s and women’s rugby and will see the university join a rugby family that includes England Rugby, the Welsh Rugby Union, Rugby Europe, Asia Rugby and the British & Irish Lions (2009, 2013 & 2017).

Heather Steel, Performance Sport Manager, Northumbria University said: “Northumbria are excited to be entering into the new BUCS Super Rugby season with Rhino as our kit sponsor. We are pleased to be able to work with Rhino to provide quality and professional looking playing kit to our student athletes. Northumbria are proud to be part of the Rhino family.”

Dave Reynish, Rhino’s Managing Director, said: “Northumbria University are passionate about their rugby and dedicated to ensuring their students have professional teamwear that’s been tested at the highest level, which is where Rhino comes in.”

Northumbria University are the latest addition to a Rhino teamwear rosters that already includes Oxford University, Cambridge University, Newport RFC, Cardiff University, University of West of England and University of Hertfordshire.

The side will also use the Vortex match ball, which is also the official ball of Rugby Europe, Asia Rugby and sides right across the rugby union pyramid.
